Gareth Bale climbed off the bench and scored with his first touch, as Real Madrid came from a goal down to defeat Al Jazira 2-1, in the semi-final of the Club World Cup on Wednesday.
Real received a bye into the semi-finals as Champions League winners, while Al Jazira reached this round by beating New Zealand’s Auckland City and Japan’s Uwara Red Diamonds.
Al Jazira had taken a shock lead through Romarinho in the 41st minute, placing the ball past Keylor Navas.
Cristiano Ronaldo levelled for the European champions, to become the highest goal scorer in the competition, before Bale netted the winner.
